The best time to visit the Kruger National Park is during the dry winter season, between April and May. During the dry months, the vegetation is sparse and wildlife tends to congregate around waterholes, rivers, streams, and lakes. Because of this, wildlife spotting is at its best in winter. Winter temperatures range from about 10 degree Celsius to about 29 degrees.
Safari-goers will spend three nights at a quiet retreat in the Balule Nature Reserve—part of the Greater Kruger National Park area. This fantastic safari lodge sits on the banks of the Olifants River and offers a powerhouse of safari activities for guests to enjoy. The lodge boasts thatched chalets and safari tents, each of which come furnished with modern amenities and varying views of the surrounding landscape.
