This exclusive game farm offers a truly authentic wildlife experience—a home for over 22 wildlife species and 217 bird species. The farm is a sanctuary for three orphaned elephants, who were left behind due to poaching. The elephants, named Jabari, Bulelo, and Malaika, are well cared for and protected on the farm—a good life they might not have had if the lodge had not intervened.

Among other wildlife, safari-goers can expect to spot the resident meerkats, hippo, giraffes, eland, buffalo, zebras, and springbok. Furthermore, Buffelsdrift is home to three relocated lion cubs—two females and one male—as well as South African cheetahs that have adapted well to their new environment over the last two years. Lastly, the African fish eagle tends to make an appearance while snatching up its daily meal from the dam.
